This page allows you to plot arbitrary filters or filter sets in a variety
of different colors; it also will compute some parameters which describe
the filter bandpass. To use it, select the filter(s) you wish to plot, and
select a color to use for the plot. If you wish you plot an entire subset
of filters, simply use the menu for the subset to plot all filters in that
subset in some desired color. Then click one of the "Plot selected filters"
button to generate the plot.
You can choose here to either have filters plotted with their actual
throughput (default), or normalized to have peak throughput of unity.
At the current time, filter profiles are plotted raw, i.e. without any
contribution from a telescope, instrument, or detector response function.
The filter parameters (mean wavelength, width, and qtdl) are also computed
for a raw filter profile.
