At beginning of lab, ask questions you may have. TA will give _brief_ summary
of the main purpose of lab
Do labs in groups of 3-4. Each group will fill out a _single_ lab report, and
this report will be handed in with the names of each person in group. This report will
be worth 65 percent of the lab grade for everybody in the group.
Everybody will do a _summary_ of the lab individually. If time permits, we
want you to do this during lab; if you finish the lab in less than 90 minutes, you
should stay and work on your summary. Otherwise, do it at home. It will be due at
the beginning of the next lab session. The summary will be worth the remaining 35
percent of the lab grade.
Lab group formation and roles
Each week, rotate group roles:
Recorder: responsible for filling out the labs and handing in
Task coordinator: designates who has each role in performing the experiment
Questioner: asks hard questions of partners, asks lab instructor if there are questions
Motivation for choosing groups actively: skills, ability to work with others
