    Chec out Exam3 distribution
    Check your overall class points (raw points: attendance, exams, extra credit, labs, totals).
    Check your weighted class scores (from which your final grade is computed, see syllabus).
    Check your lab points. (first 7 labs + Observing Project 1)

    The average was 67, up from 63 for Exam 1, but down from 73 for Exam2.

    NOTE: the last column of weighted class scores is your current percentage (grade) in the class.

    Additional note: I updated the files after class based upon new info.

    I put some notes on the Exam2 distribution page on how to read your scores. The average was 73, up from 63 for Exam2. Good work all!

  • GRADES: YOUR RAW SCORES ARE AVAILABLE
    Click HERE for a PDF file with your earned points up to and including Exam 1 (Sept 16 2009). The maximum points you can have earned to this date is 110. However, if you did the extra credit, you may have more than 110 points.

    Click HERE for all your exam review needs and advice on how to study. START TONIGHT and study a "Stage 1" today and "Stage 2" tomorrow (see advice on the Review Page). You do NOT need a scantron.

  • EXTRA CREDIT up to 5 points added your Midterm 1 scores: to get credit for this, you must hand it in AS YOU ARRIVE in class on Monday Aug 31. NO EXCEPTIONS

    You are to use an 8.5x11 blank paper oriented longwise (landscape, on its side). Print your name and section in the upper right hand corner. Draw as neatly as you can. You are to go out in the late evening or early night and face north. Write the time of day down under you name and section number (this is critical). Draw your northern horizon (including trees, buildings, mountains, etc., but not too detailed). Locate the Big Dipper and the North star and draw them accurately place them on your diagram. Find the little Dipper and draw it on your diagram.

  • Exam 1 Date Moved : Lab Schedule Changed
    Please look at the class schedule. Be sure to hit the "reload" button on your browser (ALWAYS DO THIS). Some scheduling had to be changed to account for the Labor Day Holiday (I accidentally scheduled Lab on that day!). The new Exam I day is Wed Sep 16.
